Photo Gallery

Every photo here was taken during real moments inside Glacier National Park—early mornings before the crowds, quiet pauses along the trail, and evenings when the light does something you can’t plan for.

This gallery isn’t about perfection or postcard shots. It’s a collection of personal experiences, changing seasons, and small details that often get missed. Think of it as a visual extension of the guide: unfiltered, honest, and rooted in being there.

Take your time, wander through, and let these moments inspire your own Glacier story.

Avalanche Lake -  A short but unforgettable hike through towering cedars that opens to one of Glacier’s most iconic views. Avalanche Lake sits cradled beneath sheer cliffs and cascading water runoff, making it the perfect reward for minimal effort—and a must-see stop for first-time visitors to Glacier National Park.

The peak ahead is Mount Grinnell, rising above Swiftcurrent Lake in the heart of the Many Glacier valley. What makes this spot unforgettable is how easy it is to reach—just a short, flat walk or a few steps from Many Glacier Hotel. Come early for calm water, soft light, and one of those quiet Glacier moments that stays with you long after you leave.

This photo was taken at Sun Point, an easy stop along Going-to-the-Sun Road on the St. Mary side of Glacier National Park. A short, gentle walk leads to wide-open views of St. Mary Lake, framed by rugged peaks above the shoreline. Minimal effort, massive payoff—and a stop I always recommend.

I’ve driven Going-to-the-Sun Road more times than I can count, and it never gets old. This is a drive meant to be savored—use the pullouts, take your time, and let the views unfold naturally. Be patient with traffic and wildlife, plan extra time, and don’t rush it. In Glacier National Park, this road isn’t just a way through the park—it’s an experience all its own.

Iceberg Lake - one of the most awe-inspiring hikes in Glacier National Park. Just under 10 miles round trip, the trail winds through alpine valleys before opening to a dramatic cirque where chunks of ice often float along the shoreline—even in summer. An early start pays off here: better light, fewer crowds, active wildlife, and calmer water.

Cracker Lake - my favorite hike in Glacier National Park. At roughly 13 miles round trip, the trail follows a long, quiet valley before opening to sheer rock walls and the unreal, milky-blue water the lake is known for. Watched over by Mount Siyeh, this is a place that rewards patience and effort.
